Antique Sterling Silver Spectacular Morpho Butterfly Sulfide Cameo Brooch/Pin.

This is a wonderful English sterling silver brooch dating from circa 1910. The brooch is in reverse carved domed sulphide/sulfide glass and depicts two putti apparently in heated conversation. The detail is crisp and clear. The background is a perfect glowing panel of Morpho butterfly wing in vivid blue with flashes of purple.

The back is marked MADE IN ENGLAND , STERLING SILVER. But its not clear because wear or usage of time. The brooch is a good size and measures 1 3/8 inch across and weighs 10.7 grams. The condition is nice antique.
